The Cease Fire Timber fire retardant system is suitable for both exterior - weather exposed and interior applications.  It offers bushfire fire protection on almost all combustible surfaces where normal architectural water based paints will successfully adhere.  The Cease Fire Timber fire retardant system is suitable for both exterior - weather exposed and interior applications.

Timber FR is a 4 part fire retardant coating system comprising of:

Part1: Primer - One coat

Part 2: Fire retardant coats - Average of three coats required to gain a net film build of 700 wet film microns.

Part 2B: Clear sealer - One coat

Part 3: Top coats - 2 CoatsTop coat is available in both gloss and low sheen and is available in all bases

VITAL INFORMATION ON CHANGES TO THE AUSTRALIAN BUSHFIRE CONSTRUCTION CODE - AS 3959

"ATTENTION TO BUILDING INSPECTORS AND SPECIFIERS"

Following the recent release of the revised Australian Bush Fire construction standard it is vital to be made aware that the 2004 AS3959 code called for ASTM 2898 Method B accellorated weathering test, the new standard is calling for

ASTM - 2898 method B - UV Impact but with an adjusted water impact level to ASTM - 2898 method A.

Method A calls for far less harsh water impact ragime over the testing period, being approximately 8000 Ltrs of "mist" water impact over the test duration ! The Method B that the Cease Fire Timber FR system was successfully tested to demands approximately 240,000 Ltrs of heavy droplet impact over the same testing duration.

At this time there is no NATA certified testing rig that offers the ability to test to the demands of the revised AS3959 code accellorated weathering test. AS such it is currently impossible to provide testing reports to the 2009 Standard.

The team at Cease Fire Technologies keenly invites Building Inspectors and Specifiers in this area to consider accepting the standing 2004 accellorated weathering test reports currently offered by us as an alternative deem to comply based on the fact that the Cease Fire system has successfully been tested to a far more harsh performance demand, and the fact that we are simply not physically able to test to the current performance criteria at this time.

Orbit Board - Construction  Panel:
Orbit FR (9mm thick) is a strong, lightweight non-combustible building board for use in many fire resistant and general purpose applications.
Orbit board is fully tested and complies with the requirements of AS5601and is suitable for use in close vicinity to gas appliances such as domestic or commercial cooking /catering equipment, flues & chimneys, range hoods, and open flame barbeques for example.
Orbit board is also suitable for use in the upgrading of non fire rated walls and ceilings for interior and exterior applications including external walls, eves linings, internal wall linings suspended ceilings and more. Orbit FR is off-white in colour and has a smooth sanded surface on one face with a lightly textured reverse side. It is a calcium silicate board reinforced with selected fibres and fillers. It does not contain asbestos. This board is the most affordable and versatile fire resistant construction board ever offered to the Australian building industry. With high impact resistance, it is suitable for both interior and exterior applications Including external walls, eves linings, internal wall linings suspended ceilings and more. Fire tested to AS 1530-4 - BS 476.20 & 22. Also complies with the BCA - AS 3959 bushfire construction code requirements.
