Vermiculite textured popcorn ceilings were popular throughout the sixties and into the eighties thanks to their low cost , fast application, and benefits including acoustic absorption, fire resistance, and durability. It's important to note that older buildings from this era may have used imported products that were contaminated with asbestos. Please refer to your building's asbestos register/management plan or conduct an audit with a qualified consultant before working with existing vermiculite ceilings.

Vermiculite fire spray can be used to upgrade the fire resistance level of slabs and walls while also resulting in a nice textured finish. This is the fastest and most cost effective way to upgrade the FRL of an existing slab.
