Prices will vary according to the Fire Resistance Level required. For spray-applied products, the coating thickness will vary as it relates to the size/thickness of the steel members and the number of sides that need to be sprayed. In general, the heavier the steel the less coating thickness that will be required for the FRL.
Yes. Gypsum vermiculite can withstand temporary exposure but a cement-based product such as Fendolite MII should be used for a more permanent solution. There are also intumescent spray products approved for external use.
Yes, fireproof spray coatings can be applied offsite and/or before installation. Care must be taken during transport and installation to prevent damage. Remedial works and additional coats can be applied onsite after installation.
No, all of our vermiculite products are free of asbestos. However, it's important to note that older buildings may have used imported vermiculite products that were contaminated. Please refer to your building's asbestos register/management plan or conduct an audit with a qualified consultant.
Yes, we can provide an installation certificate of compliance at the request of the client after the work has been completed.
