Our Services
Structural steel
Vermiculite & Cementitious Coatings
Ceasefire installs vermiculite and cementitious fire spray systems to protect structural steel, concrete soffits, slabs, ducts and other building elements that require a tested Fire Resistance Level. These systems provide a durable, cost-effective fireproofing solution by forming an insulating layer that slows heat transfer during fire exposure and helps structural elements maintain their required performance for the nominated FRL.
Our vermiculite and cementitious coating works are installed in accordance with tested systems, project specifications, AS 1530.4 test evidence and NCC requirements. Ceasefire has in-house certified NACE/AMPP coating inspectors to oversee surface preparation, application quality, thickness verification and coating compliance, giving builders and asset owners stronger quality control from installation through to final documentation.
Intumescent Coatings
Ceasefire applies intumescent coatings to structural steel where fire protection is required without compromising the appearance of exposed steelwork. Intumescent paint systems are commonly used in commercial buildings, lobbies, atriums, feature staircases, architectural steel and other areas where a clean painted finish is preferred over cementitious fire spray or board encasement.
Our intumescent coating projects are delivered with a strong focus on specification compliance, dry film thickness control and final certification. Our certified NACE/AMPP coating inspectors oversee coating application, verify DFT readings, review surface preparation and support the project with clear QA records, helping ensure the installed system aligns with the tested requirements, NCC provisions and project specification.
Duct fire protection
Fireproof Coatings for Ducts
Ceasefire installs fire-rated spray coatings to ductwork, including kitchen exhaust ducts, mechanical ducts, risers and other services that pass through fire compartments. Cementitious and vermiculite-based duct coatings provide robust fire resistance where ductwork must maintain separation between areas of a building and prevent the spread of fire, heat and smoke.
All duct coating systems are installed to the relevant tested system and project requirements, with thickness and application quality checked as part of the QA process. Quality and compliance are verified by our own certified NACE/AMPP coating inspectors, ensuring seamless compliance documentation at handover.
FyreWrap® Insulation
Ceasefire installs FyreWrap® and similar fire-rated duct wrap systems for projects requiring a lightweight, space-efficient duct protection solution. These foil-faced blanket systems are commonly used for kitchen exhaust ducts, mechanical risers and complex duct layouts where speed of installation, reduced weight and access limitations make traditional fire spray less suitable.
Our duct wrap installations are completed in accordance with manufacturer requirements, tested system details and project specifications. Overlaps, joints, supports, penetrations and terminations are carefully installed. All work is documented so the completed system can be certified and maintained as part of the building’s passive fire protection records.
Fire Dampers
Ceasefire supplies, installs and documents fire dampers used in fire-rated walls, floors and duct systems. Fire dampers are a critical part of maintaining compartmentation because they are designed to close during a fire event and restrict the spread of fire and smoke through mechanical ventilation systems.
Each damper must be correctly selected, installed, sealed, tagged and made accessible for future inspection and maintenance. Ceasefire integrates fire dampers into broader passive fire systems, including duct protection, access panels, fire seals and passive fire registers, helping building owners and facility managers maintain clearer records for ongoing AS 1851 compliance.
Service penetrations
Fire Seals & Service Penetrations
Ceasefire installs tested fire stopping systems to service penetrations in fire-rated walls, floors, shafts, risers and ceilings. This includes fire collars, fire wraps, intumescent sealants, fire-rated mortars, firestop boards, pillows, batt systems and other tested solutions for pipes, conduits, cable trays, ducts and mixed-service openings.
Every penetration must be assessed against the substrate, service type, annular gap, FRL requirement and available test evidence. Ceasefire installs approved systems, labels completed seals and records the relevant details so each penetration is traceable, certifiable and easier to inspect under AS 1851 throughout the life of the building. All work is completed to comply with AS4072.1.
Passive Fire Registers
Ceasefire prepares passive fire registers in accordance with AS4072.1 that record installed passive fire protection systems across a building or project. A well-prepared register provides a clear record of fire seals, service penetrations, fire dampers, access panels, fire-rated walls, floors, ceilings, ducts and other passive fire measures, including their location, system type, FRL, product details and supporting evidence.
Passive fire registers are essential for handover, certification, defect management and ongoing maintenance. Ceasefire’s registers are designed to provide baseline data to support AS 1851 inspections and give building owners, facility managers, certifiers and fire safety practitioners a practical record that can be updated as the building changes over time.
FRL Upgrades
Textured Ceilings
Ceasefire applies vermiculite spray to ceilings, soffits and slabs where a textured finish is required for fire resistance, durability, acoustic performance or architectural effect. Vermiculite ceilings are commonly used in basements, carparks, plant rooms, commercial areas and refurbishment projects where a robust sprayed finish is preferred.
Where the ceiling or slab requires an FRL, Ceasefire installs the system in accordance with tested requirements and provides supporting compliance documentation. Our certified NACE/AMPP coating inspectors assist with preparation, adhesion, application quality and thickness verification, giving clients greater confidence in the final finish and compliance outcome.
Slab and Wall FRL Upgrades
Ceasefire delivers slab and wall FRL upgrades for existing buildings, refurbishments, change-of-use projects and areas where the original construction does not achieve the required fire resistance. Depending on the project, upgrades may involve fire-rated boards, vermiculite spray, cementitious coatings, plasterboard systems or other tested passive fire solutions.
Each upgrade is selected to suit the existing substrate, required FRL, available access, building use and compliance pathway. Ceasefire provides installation, inspection records and certification documentation so the upgraded element can be clearly identified, audited and maintained for regular inspection and testing.
Fire-Rated Bulkheads
Ceasefire installs fire-rated bulkheads where services pass through or around fire-rated barriers and a conventional penetration seal is not suitable. Bulkheads are commonly used in corridors, risers, plant rooms, service cupboards and other congested areas where pipes, ducts, cable trays and mixed services need to be enclosed while maintaining the required FRL.
Our fire-rated bulkhead installations are built using tested systems and finished with appropriate sealing, fixing, labelling and documentation. By recording the system details and location of each bulkhead, Ceasefire helps builders and building owners maintain traceable passive fire records for certification, handover and future AS 1851 inspections.
firewalls, floors, & Ceilings
Firewalls
Ceasefire installs fire-rated wall systems designed to separate fire compartments, protect adjoining spaces and support NCC fire safety requirements. Firewalls may be required in commercial buildings, industrial facilities, multi-residential projects, plant rooms, shafts, corridors and areas where fire separation is essential for life safety and property protection.
Our firewall installations are completed using tested systems and documented for certification and future maintenance. Ceasefire coordinates firewall works with surrounding passive fire elements, including service penetrations, control joints, access panels and adjoining fire-rated construction, so the completed wall performs as a complete fire separation system rather than an isolated building element.
Fire Floors
Ceasefire installs fire-rated floor systems and floor upgrade solutions where vertical fire separation is required between levels or compartments. Fire floors are used in multi-storey buildings, plant areas, shafts, service zones and refurbishment projects where the floor assembly must achieve a tested FRL.
Each floor system must be installed in accordance with the relevant tested construction, including board layers, supports, fixings, joints, penetrations and edge details. Ceasefire provides installation records and certification documentation so the completed fire-rated floor can be included in the building’s passive fire register and maintained as part of ongoing compliance.
Fire Ceilings
Ceasefire installs fire-rated ceiling systems, including plasterboard ceilings, fire board ceilings and sprayed vermiculite ceiling systems. Fire ceilings are used where horizontal separation is required, where slabs need upgrading, or where services and building elements above a ceiling need to be protected.
Our fire ceiling systems are selected to suit the required FRL, project conditions, access requirements and finish expectations. Ceasefire documents each installation so the system can be certified, audited and maintained, with particular attention given to penetrations, access panels, joints, supports and interfaces with adjoining fire-rated construction.
Fire Doors
Ceasefire supplies, installs and documents fire door systems used to protect openings in fire-rated walls and compartments. Fire doors are essential because they allow movement through a building while still maintaining fire separation when closed during a fire event.
Correct installation is critical to performance, including the door leaf, frame, hardware, clearances, seals, signage and certification tags. Ceasefire provides fire door installation and documentation that supports long-term inspection and maintenance under AS 1851, helping building owners and facility managers keep essential fire safety measures traceable and compliant.
Diagrams & Block Plans
Evacuation Diagrams
Ceasefire prepares evacuation diagrams for commercial, residential, industrial, educational and healthcare facilities. These diagrams help occupants understand exit paths, assembly areas, fire equipment locations and key emergency information so they can respond quickly and safely during an emergency.
Each evacuation diagram is prepared to suit the building layout and the needs of the occupants. Ceasefire can provide printed and digital versions for site display, compliance records and facility management use, helping building owners maintain clearer emergency planning documentation.
Block Plans
Ceasefire prepares fire services block plans for buildings that require clear, accurate reference information for emergency services, building managers and maintenance contractors. Block plans may show hydrants, sprinklers, booster assemblies, pumps, isolation valves, water supplies and other key fire services information depending on the building and system requirements.
Accurate block plans support commissioning, maintenance, emergency response and authority review. Ceasefire focuses on producing clear, practical plans that can be used on site and retained as part of the building’s fire safety documentation.
Inspections, Reports, & proposals
Coating Surveys & Inspections
Ceasefire provides coating surveys and failure analysis for fireproofing and protective coating systems, including intumescent coatings, vermiculite spray, cementitious coatings and related passive fire coating applications. These surveys help identify coating defects such as insufficient thickness, poor adhesion, surface preparation issues, mechanical damage, environmental exposure or non-conforming application.
Ceasefire has certified NACE/AMPP coating inspectors who can carry out site inspections, review DFT readings, adhesion testing, visual assessments and technical reporting. Our reports can support rectification planning, dispute resolution, specification review and compliance close-out, helping clients understand what has failed, why it has failed and what needs to be done to restore performance.
AS 1851 Inspection & Testing
Ceasefire conducts passive fire inspections for existing buildings, new projects, defect rectification works and annual compliance programs. Our inspections cover service penetrations, fire seals, fire dampers, access panels, fire doors, fire-rated walls, floors, ceilings, shafts, risers, bulkheads and other passive fire systems that must be maintained for the building to remain compliant.
Ceasefire has in-house FPA accredited inspectors and assessors who can inspect passive fire systems, identify defects and prepare clear reports aligned with AS 1851 inspection and testing requirements. Ceasefire can also provide practical recommendations to close out the defects and prepare a proposal outlining estimated costs.
Value Engineering
Ceasefire can assist with value engineering for builders, developers, consultants and asset owners who need to reduce passive fire costs without compromising compliance. Our value engineering process involves reviewing fire engineering briefs, assessing alternative systems, and recommending compliant substitutes that reduce labour or material costs. We review the specified systems, construction details, access constraints, sequencing issues and available tested alternatives to identify more efficient ways to achieve the required fire performance.
A strong value engineering review can reduce labour, simplify installation, avoid over-specified systems and improve buildability while still maintaining the required FRL and NCC compliance pathway. Ceasefire’s practical installation experience allows us to recommend solutions that are not only compliant on paper, but realistic to install, document and certify on site.
Annual Fire Safety Statements
Ceasefire assists building owners, strata managers and facility managers with Annual Fire Safety Statement requirements by inspecting, documenting and endorsing relevant passive fire safety measures. Our in-house FPA accredited inspectors and assessors can assess fire-rated coatings, fire seals, service penetrations, fire-rated walls, floors, ceilings, bulkheads, fire doors, access panels, fire dampers and other compartmentation systems against the building’s Fire Safety Schedule and AS 1851 inspection requirements.
Where defects are identified, Ceasefire can provide a clear report, practical rectification proposal and compliant passive fire upgrade works to help bring the building back into line before the statement is finalised. This gives clients a streamlined pathway from inspection through to defect close-out, documentation and endorsement, helping reduce delays and support ongoing fire safety compliance.
