Our Services
Structural steel
Vermiculite & Cementitious Coatings
Structural steel can lose its strength within minutes of fire exposure, leading to catastrophic collapse if not protected. Ceasefire applies coatings such as Cafco® 300 and Monokote to provide a durable, cost-effective fireproofing solution. Spray-applied vermiculite or perlite forms a dense, insulating layer that slows heat transfer, allowing steel to maintain load-bearing capacity for the duration of the required Fire Resistance Level (FRL). Suited to basements, carparks, warehouses, and industrial structures, vermiculite is a proven fire protection material.
All applications are installed in accordance with AS 1530.4 fire testing and NCC compliance requirements. Ceasefire’s NACE/AMPP qualified coatings inspectors oversee application to ensure coatings not only meet local codes but also conform with stringent international NACE/AMPP standards for surface preparation and quality control.
Beyond fire protection, vermiculite ceilings and coatings also offer secondary benefits such as acoustic absorption, decorative textured finishes, and impact resistance. Each project is completed with certification and full documentation, making compliance checks and AS 1851 inspections straightforward. With Ceasefire, clients receive a globally trusted fireproofing solution backed by qualified inspectors, robust materials, and clear compliance records.
Intumescent Coatings
When architectural design requires exposed steelwork, intumescent coatings provide discreet but highly effective fire protection. Ceasefire applies systems from leading brands such as Promat and Dulux to deliver fire ratings verified to AS 1530.4. Unlike cementitious materials, intumescent coatings appear like standard decorative paint in normal conditions. However, when exposed to high temperatures, they expand to form a charred insulating layer that shields the steel and delays structural failure.
This solution is ideal for lobbies, atriums, feature staircases, and commercial buildings where design aesthetics cannot be compromised. Intumescent coatings are applied in controlled layers with precise dry film thickness (DFT) verified by Ceasefire’s NACE/AMPP qualified coatings inspectors. These inspections ensure compliance with NCC provisions as well as international quality benchmarks for protective coatings.
Our intumescent finishes range from industrial-grade protective layers to smooth, decorative surfaces, enabling both form and function. Every installation comes with compliance certification, QA records, and Passive Fire Registers for ease of future inspection under AS 1851. With Ceasefire, your structural steel maintains its design impact while meeting rigorous fire safety standards.
Duct fire protection
Fireproof Coatings
Ceasefire applies Cafco® 300 and Monokote fire spray coatings to ducts, including kitchen exhausts, mechanical risers, and HVAC systems. These cementitious, plaster and gypsum-based sprays form a dense protective layer that can achieve up to -/180/180 FRL when tested to AS 1530.4, preventing fire and heat from spreading through ductwork. This makes it a preferred choice for large-scale kitchens, basements, and high-rise mechanical shafts where durability and robust fire resistance are critical.
Applications are carried out according to manufacturer specifications and thickness verified by Ceasefire’s NACE/AMPP inspectors, ensuring not only NCC compliance but also conformity with international best practices. Vermiculite coatings for ducts are particularly effective where mechanical systems run through multiple fire compartments, ensuring fire separation is maintained across the building.
On completion, all work is supported with certification and detailed records for integration into Passive Fire Registers. This ensures future inspections under AS 1851 are simple and auditable. With Ceasefire, duct coatings offer proven performance, robust certification, and international-quality assurance for an affordable price.
